Raychem Universal Cold Applied Boot Kits of 3 - SMOE62803 & SMOE62804

SMOE62803 and SMOE62804 - Raychem cold-applied insulating boots for straight or right angle applications. Also known as RCAB4120.

The SMOE-Type Boot consists of a one-piece anti-tracking body and suits angles between 90 and 180 degrees. These boots are used in various professional fields for their excellent resistance and strength whilst maintaining the flexibility to be applied at varying angles. These boots are commonly used to increase creepage distances between live metals and surrounding metals to ensure maximum electrical safety is guaranteed. They are also used in switchgear and transformers where the clearances are insufficient for operation in air or to protect against flashover due to rodent interference or extreme humidity. The boots can also be easily applied straight rather than at a right angle/ They can just as easily be removed, too as they contain 0 mastic components.

Application

• Apply a thin layer of silicone grease onto the application
• Slide the boot onto the application with more ease once grease is applied.
• Apply more grease to the bushing and connect the cable lugs
• Push the boot upwards over the bushing and as far as possible.
