PFA Tubing 9.0mm ID x 12.0mm OD - Clear

Product image
SKU: PFA9X12NL-X-CLS

PFA Tubing (perfluoroalkoxy alkanes) has wide chemical resistance and mechanical performance at high temperatures. It can be used in some of the harshest applications, and for those requiring more clarity, flexibility and a higher continuous working temperature. PFA Tubing is inherently pure due to low-off gas offset and complies with FDA and USP regulations regarding food contact and material biocompatibility.

  • Long service life

  • Broad chemical resistance

  • Impressive mechanical performance

  • Excellent in the harshest applications

PFA Tubing 9.0mm ID x 12.0mm OD

PFA Tubing has wide chemical resistance and mechanical performance at high temperatures. Thus, PFA tubing can be used in some of the harshest applications, and for those requiring more clarity, flexibility and a higher continuous working temperature.

This tubing gives better performance in high pressure or high-temperature applications than PTFE, with a working temperature from -200°C to +260°C. In comparison to PTFE Tubing, perfluoroalkoxy provides enhanced short term pliability, tensile strength and transparency. It also offers a similar dielectric constant and comparable chemical and temperature resistance to polytetrafluoroethylene. This PFA Tubing is slightly inferior to PTFE in applications that are subject to repeated folding due to having a lower long term flex life.

PFA tubing can be delivered in smooth or convoluted design (spiral or parallel), in metric, inch and AWG sizes. Delivery possible on straight lengths, cut lengths, coils or spools or striped/marked.

Commonly used in food, drink and pharmaceutical applications that require a clear, non-toxic carrier or to convey highly aggressive chemicals and solvents. PFA tubing can also be used as electrical cable sleeving due to its dielectric properties or in compressed air applications.

Features and Benefits:

  • Transparent
  • Melt processable
  • Excellent resistance to weathering
  • Working temperature from -200°C to +260°C
  • Very High resistance to chemicals and solvents
  • Higher continuous working temperature than FEP
  • Longer continuous lengths than PTFE (due to melt processability)
  • Better performance in high pressure/temperature application than PTFE
