The RSRB-4042 Insulating Bushing Boots can be used in switchgear and transformers where the clearances are insufficient for operation in air, or to protect against flashover due to rodents or extreme humidity. These TE connectivity heat shrink insulating boots are moulded parts that fit over the connection between a termination's cable lug, and an equipment bushing, proving phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground insulation. They give exceptional insulation and long term reliability even at high continuous operating temperatures.
The non-tracking heat shrink material has excellent erosion resistance, dielectric properties, and environmental resistance. This gives a superb performance in areas of high humidity and electrical stress.
