TE CONNECTIVITY 55A0811-20-9 Dual Wall 0.57mm² Spec55 Harsh Environment Wire - White

Spec 55 wire is insulated with modified radiation cross-linked ETFE polymer and combines the easy handling of a flexible thin wall wire, with excellent scrape abrasion and cut-through characteristics.

The dual wall airframe construction is commonly used on numerous commercial and military aircraft programmes throughout the world. Additionally, it is used for industrial settings where a high temperature rating is required. The dual wall acts as a damage indicator by having a contrasting core. Blue in colour and a total wall thickness of 0.25mm for robustness in unprotected harnesses and has brilliant wire-to-wire abrasion properties.

Spec 55 wire was chosen for its balance of quantities, it is resistant to UV and moisture deterioration, has exceptional durability against chemicals and solvents, and has excellent arc track resistance. It is the best wire to install in new aircraft and equipment as well as for maintenance due to its exceptional flexibility and handleability. 

The wire can be stripped with ease using standard tools revealing the insulation that is readily marked by hot stamp, inkjet or laser and can be potted without pre-etching.
